Snow Day

Dress: Forever 21 (sold out, similar here) | Top: American Apparel | Scarf: Steve Madden | Shoes: Dr. Martens | Glasses: Warby Parker

It's a snow day here in Boston and that means I'm in hibernation mode. What a great opportunity to bring you a new blog post! I am not wearing this outfit today, but it's what I would be wearing if I wasn't stuck inside while 20 inches of snow accumulates around me. Perhaps if it were a light dusting, I would.

I call this look "snow day-chic." It's comfy, cozy, and captures the essence of what's left of the New England winter. I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to spring. Snow in March is a big no from me.

Crochet Coven

Dress: T.J.Maxx (sold out, similar here) | Belt: ASOS | Shoes: Steve Madden | Hat: Forever 21 (sold out, similar here) | Choker: Forever 21(sold out, similar here)

Halloween is tomorrow and wow, did it creep up! I've been in the spooky spirit all week long and my fashion choices certainly reflect that. This look gives off some major coven vibes. I'm in love with this crochet bell sleeve dress from T.J.Maxx. It's super witchy and boho, especially when paired with a western belt, black combat boots, and wide brim fedora. I added a gothic layered choker necklace to up the spooky factor. To complete the outfit, I couldn't forget a bold, dark lip in a vampy, deep berry shade. This one is "Quelle Surprise" by MAC. I am All Hallows' Eve ready! Happy Halloween, everyone!

Harborside Style

Bomber jacket: Topshop | Turtleneck: Primark (similar) | Skirt: Topshop | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Belt: ASOS | Beanie: Brandy Melville (similar) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

The Boston Harbor is one of my favorite spots to visit in the city. It's beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for pictures. Taking a walk along the harborside is a nice escape from the busy city streets and a change of scenery. I forget I'm in Boston as I look across the water and watch the boats float off into the distance.

As it still gets breezy down by the harbor this time of year, I wore a light turtleneck sweater, bomber jacket, denim skirt with tights, combat boots, and beanie to keep warm. Dressing in layers is key during the springtime, especially in Boston, where the weather is unpredictable. One thing I can always count on is a stunning city skyline.

Still Spooky

Top: Brandy Melville | Pinafore dress: Tj Maxx (similar) | Shoes: Steve Madden (similar) | Bag: MCM (similar) | Hat: Forever 21 (similar) | Choker: Brandy Melville (similar)

The weather in Boston has been surprisingly warm, so lately I've been able to wear lighter layers. I paired my black pinafore dress with a striped top from Brandy Melville, tights and ballet flats for a fall look that's perfect for days that aren't very chilly. My MCM tambourine bag, velvet choker and fedora hat add give the look vintage edge. As usual, I look like I belong in a coven. Just because Halloween is over doesn't mean you still can't be a bit spooky with your style.

Black & Blue

Jacket: Zara | Sweater: Forever 21 | Flannel: Forever 21 | Jeans: Topshop | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Is my flannel black and blue or white and gold? I unintentionally showed my stance on #TheDress debate with this outfit! Who knew clothes could be so controversial? Please don't tell me you see my flannel as white and gold though!

Dressed in Black

Faux fur vest: Rachel Zoe | Jeans: Topshop | Sweater: H&M | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Watch: Michael Kors | Earrings: Topshop |

Dressed in black from head to toe is the way to go....especially when there is a touch of faux fur. This vest is one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. It is so fun to wear and adds texture and dimension to an all black ensemble. I'd wear it all winter long if I could, but that would be kind of strange...

Burgundy Bowler

Faux leather jacket: Nordstrom BP | Turtleneck sweater: H&M | Skirt: Abercrombie & Fitch | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Hat: Forever 21 | Watch: Michael Kors |

I think a hat can really top off an outfit (no pun intended). My burgundy bowler completes my British-inspired outfit. I look how it looks with my leather jacket and picks up the colors in my skirt. The quality is amazing and I know I will be wearing it again and again. Hats off to Forever 21 for making this gem!

Falling for Floral

Denim Jacket: H&M | Top: Forever 21 | Skirt: American Apparel | Combat Boots: Steve Madden | Backpack: Brandy Melville | Watch: Michael Kors | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Scrunchie: American Apparel | Earrings: Topshop |

Fall is here and I am falling for floral. Who says you can't wear flowers while the leaves are turning?  The key is to give your floral prints a sweater weather makeover. Pair your flowery frocks with denim, leather, and textured fabrics. Layer to your heart's content! You'll stay cozy and your style will be coming up roses.

Houndstooth Happenings

Jacket: Tj Maxx | Sweater: Lord & Taylor | Shirt: Nordstrom BP | Skirt: Tj Maxx | Ballet flats: Steve Madden | Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Spring is here and I couldn't be happier. Of course, I am still wearing monochrome, but how could I resist? My houndstooth jacket was just waiting to be worn.

Striped Style

Top: Free People | Jeans: Topshop | Flats: Steve Madden | Scarf: H&M | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: Alex & Ani | Earrings: Juicy Couture

Stripes are going to be a huge trend this Spring, so why not show your style stripes right now? I think wearing something striped is the perfect way to make an outfit interesting. One of my favorite things about this print is its ability to take on many different personalities. My top Free People looks girly with my black skinny jeans, ballet flats and accessories. A stripe shirt can look edgy with boyfriend jeans and a leather jacket or effortlessly cool with skinny jeans and your favorite pair of sneakers. Whatever your sense of style may be, I think everyone can show their style stripes.

Winter Blues

Sweater: Gap | Jeans: Nordstrom BP | Boots: Steve Madden | Necklace: Tiffany & Co.

Sweaters have been my savior during the past few weeks. It has been very cold and a nice, warm sweater like this one from the Gap is perfect. I've never a sweater in this shade of blue before. I love how it looks against against my skin tone. Although I love dressing in all black, a bit of color can be the perfect pick-me-up. This sweater gives me the winter blues...in a good way!

November Favorites

1. I wore my faux-leather jacket constantly throughout the month of November. I got mine from Nordstrom last year, but never wore it much. I'm glad I have been enjoying it lately. Leather jackets are a must for the fall and winter seasons. They give a cool and chic edge to any outfit.

2. The Topshop 'Joni' jeans are perfection. I have the petite version. They are the perfect length and so comfy. I've worn them a ridiculous amount of times! If you're looking for the perfect high-waisted jeans, get a pair of 'Joni' jeans. You won't regret it.

3.  'Media' lipstick from MAC is the perfect deep berry shade for fall and winter. I have a slight obsession with MAC lipsticks and this one is definitely my new favorite. When I want to add a festive pop of color to my lips, I put on 'Media' and I am good to go.

4. I got my Steve Madden 'Troopa' boots for back-to-school and have been wearing them ever since. They were comfy right out of the box and look amazing with so many different outfits. You can't go wrong with a nice pair of combat boots.

Perfect Parkas

Parka: Old Navy | Sweater: Nordstrom BP | Jeans: Topshop | Combat boots: Steve Madden

Parkas are certainly a wardrobe staple for the fall and winter. So many different stores carry them, from Topshop to Forever 21. When lined with fleece or fur, they're the perfect way to stay warm and stylish in the winter. My parka from Old Navy is fleece lined and has faux fur trim on the hood. I love how it can be cinched at the waist so it doesn't overwhelm me. I think everyone should find the perfect parka.

Free People Fashion

Jacket: Nordstrom BP | Shirt: Free People | Jeans: Topshop | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Watch: Michael Kors | Necklace: Nordstrom BP

Free People is one of my all-time favorite brands. Their clothing is so unique and always looks effortless. My latest Free People purchase is this black and off-white striped peplum top. The peplum has the perfect amount of flounce to give it a girly and boho look. I love how it looks under my safari jacket. I think black, off-white and olive green are the perfect color combination. My black 'Joni' jeans balance out the billowiness of my top. To complete my casual look, I put on a pair of black combat boots and accessorized with a gold key necklace and my Michael Kors watch.

Faux Fur Fun

Faux fur vest: Rachel Zoe | Blouse: DNKY | Jeans: Topshop | Combat boots: Steve Madden | Ring: Kenneth Jay Lane

I was so excited to wear my latest purchase today; a faux fur vest by Rachel Zoe. I am absolutely obsessed with it. It is such a statement piece and will look amazing with many different outfits. The faux fur trend is everywhere for fall 2013. It is on the runway, the streets, and now in my closet! I'm officially a faux-furshionista.
