Classic looks can be the best looks. I'm all about experimenting with fashion, but I love simple outfits dearly. The tennis skirt, turtleneck, and ankle boot combo is one of my favorites. This look can go from day to night. It's easy, yet put together. I wore a mini bag with chain detail to pay homage to one of my fashion icons, Coco Chanel. I think she would approve of this all black outfit. As Coco once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

Two things I'm passionate about are wearing black and overalls. I fell in love with this pair when I found them at H&M. They are super comfortable and versatile. I can't wait to style them throughout the fall and winter. For this look, I styled the overalls in a dark and minimalist fashion. I wore a simple black long sleeve ribbed tee, black suede loafers, a lace choker, and Kate Spade mini bag. A dark lip in the shade "Media" by MAC keeps the look extra edgy and autumnal.

Halloween is tomorrow and wow, did it creep up! I've been in the spooky spirit all week long and my fashion choices certainly reflect that. This look gives off some major coven vibes. I'm in love with this crochet bell sleeve dress from T.J.Maxx. It's super witchy and boho, especially when paired with a western belt, black combat boots, and wide brim fedora. I added a gothic layered choker necklace to up the spooky factor. To complete the outfit, I couldn't forget a bold, dark lip in a vampy, deep berry shade. This one is "Quelle Surprise" by MAC. I am All Hallows' Eve ready! Happy Halloween, everyone!

Bits of Style x Clarisonic

The weather has been changing and so has my skin. Enter Clarisonic! I'm very excited to have had the opportunity to work with Her Campus and the revolutionary skincare brand. They kindly sent me the Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 set to give a spin...get it, because the Clarisonic brush spins? This is my first time ever owning a Clarisonic and I couldn't be happier to welcome it to my skincare routine. I must admit, I was nervous to try it since my skin is super sensitive. On my first go-around, I spot tested my chin to see how my skin would react to the brush. I used a cleanser that's part of my daily routine instead of the Deep Pore one so I would know for sure if it was the brush that was bothering me. When I woke up the next morning and there was no reaction, I was overjoyed. 

I kept using the cleanser my skin is used to with the brush for about two weeks, then made the switch to the Deep Pore Daily Cleanser. I tried it on my face without the brush for a night or two at first to make sure my skin wouldn't break out, which it didn't. I definitely recommend always testing a new product out on a small part of your skin before you go all in. Long story short, I am very impressed with the Deep Pore Mia 2 set! I use it at night to cleanse after I have washed all my makeup off. I splash my face with warm water, apply a small amount of the Deep Pore Daily Cleanser, wet and turn on the Mia 2, and move the brush in circular motions around my skin. The brush itself beeps to tell you when it's time to move to a different area of your face, and the whole routine takes only one minute. I follow up with my favorite face moisturizer. The true gem of the Deep Pore set is the Detoxifying Clay Mask. It made a huge difference in my skin after just one use. 

The Deep Pore brush head is gentle, not harsh, and effectively cleanses my skin. In the few short weeks I've been using the Mia 2 system, my skin has become softer, less red, and had fewer breakouts. My makeup goes on smoother and sits nicely on my skin. It really is a miracle worker. I am confident the Clarisonic Mia 2 cleansing system is going to help me have healthy, glowing skin for life. Taking some inspiration from Paris for this monochromatic look. Boston has been windy and chilly lately, so bundling up is a must. I went for a beret, oversized scarf, and lots of layers to keep warm. My Uniqlo HEATTECH turtleneck has been a total lifesaver. It is like wearing a warm fleecy blanket. I'll have this grey one and a black version on rotation all fall and winter long.

Dressed in Denim

I am in full fall fashion mode. Bring on the leather jackets, tights, and turtlenecks! For this look, I made a denim dress cool for cooler weather by doing a bit of layering. A fitted black turtleneck was the perfect piece to wear under it and my faux leather jacket adds extra warmth. I wore tights and sock boots to keep the outfit streamlined and let the dress be the statement. I feel in love with this Tularosa dress I found at T.J.Maxx on Newbury Street during their store opening this past spring. If you're in the Boston area, I highly recommend stopping by. The light wash and button front detail give the dress a vintage feel which I dig. To finish the look, I wore my Kate Spade cross body bag with chain detailing to hold my keys, phone, and lipstick. Although it's tiny, it's the perfect bag for running around the city handsfree. Dressed in denim works for me.

The LBD

Oh, the LBD; one of my all-time favorite pieces of clothing. There is no occasion an LBD can't be worn to. It can be dressed up or down and take on any personality. When I stumbled upon this one in the end of summer Ref Sale, I couldn't let it slip by. I love the dainty straps, straight neckline, and formfitting cut. It has a '90s vibe which is always a win with me. The '90s really were all that.

I dressed down the LBD with my 'Stan Smith' sneakers, black velvet choker, and Madewell denim jacket. It was the perfect look to wear strolling through the streets of Beacon Hill on a cool and sunny afternoon. I don't think I'll ever get over how much I adore this neighborhood. Simple dresses and city streets have my heart.
