City Casual

Dress: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Shirt: Nordstrom (sold out, similar here) | Shoes: Converse | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (sold out, similar here) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Bracelet: Tiffany & Co. | Choker: H&M | Earrings: Nordstrom Rack (sold out, similar here)

T-shirt dress + shirt tied around the waist + Converse + mini bag = the perfect busy-in-the-city look. It's comfortable, casual, and can take you anywhere from running errands to treating yourself to a tasty lunch. One of my favorite spots is Tatte Bakery & Cafe, which is right around the corner from where I took these pictures in Beacon Hill. Their sandwiches are some of the best in Beantown, as are their pastries, cookies, and hot teas. Tatte's mint lemonade is my weakness, especially on a hot day. It's hydration and happiness in a cup. To complete the laid-back look, I accessorized with simple jewelry and sunnies. I'm summer in the city ready.

French Stripes

Top: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Skirt: Topshop (sold out, similar here) | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (sold out) | Tights: ASOS (sold out, similar here) | Watch: Daniel Wellington

The brick-paved streets of Boston's historic Beacon Hill are perfect for wandering down when you want to escape reality for a moment and pretend you're in a Parisian village far far away from the land of "the president who shall not be named." It's been very warm lately, and by very warm I mean in the 60s and 70s, which is both lovely and disturbing. As I mentioned in my last post, we can thank global warming for that. Fishnets and skirts have been my weird weather go-tos. For this look, I paired them with a black and white stripe mock neck top, loafers, and mini bag for French-inspired flair.

Classically Monochrome

Jacket: Zara (sold out, similar here) | Sweater: Lord & Taylor (sold out, similar here) | Shirt: H&M | Skirt: American Apparel | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Bag: Kate Spade | Watch: Daniel Wellington

It's no secret I love a monochrome outfit. The sweater + crisp white shirt + black tennis skirt + leather jacket comibation is my favorite look of all time. It's classically Coco Chanel and effortless. This look will take you anywhere: from class, to work, to a night out. Layering a white shirt underneath a cozy black sweater and topping it all off with a leather jacket adds extra warmth. Also, can we talk about how cute and festive Beacon Hill is looking right now?! There is nothing better than Boston during the height of the holiday season.

Classic

Top: ASOS | Skirt: American Apparel | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Bag: Kate Spade | Watch: Daniel Wellington

Classic looks can be the best looks. I'm all about experimenting with fashion, but I love simple outfits dearly. The tennis skirt, turtleneck, and ankle boot combo is one of my favorites. This look can go from day to night. It's easy, yet put together. I wore a mini bag with chain detail to pay homage to one of my fashion icons, Coco Chanel. I think she would approve of this all black outfit. As Coco once said, "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."

Daisy

Dress: H&M (sold out, similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas 'Superstar' | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (sold out, similar here) | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Choker: Forever 21

This ditsy daisy print dress is one of my favorites in my wardrobe. It's from the H&M Conscious Collection and made almost entirely from recycled fabric. Unfortunately, the fashion industry is a big polluter. I truly hope more companies make the push towards ethical practices that will keep people and the environment safe and healthy. Aside from being eco-friendly, this dress has an adorable silhouette with a unique cutout detail. I love how the top is more fitted and the bottom has just the right amount of flowy goodness. The simple, girly floral print pops against the navy background.

To pick up the white of the daisies and keep the look casual, I wore my Adidas 'Superstar' sneakers. A unique silver faux leather choker makes a statement and adds to the minimalist vibe. I carried my blue Rebecca Minkoff backpack for a bright pop of color. There are only so many more days I can wear it before it looks out of place as the leaves turn. As much as I love fall, I'm going to wear this daisy dress as many times as I can before summer's officially over.

Silky

Top: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Skirt: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas | Bag: MCM (vintage, similar here) | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Choker: Brandy Melville

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? Summer's winding down, but I'll wear white whenever I want! I paired this Brandy Melville denim skirt with a Brandy Melville silky black cami for an uber-girly look. A silky cami is a wardrobe basic that can be dressed up or down and worn in many ways. It will look great layered under a denim jacket or chunky knit cardigan as it gets colder. To play with texture, I wore a velvet choker also from, you guessed it, Brandy Melville, around my neck. I think silk and velvet look really cool together. Silk is a thinner fabric while velvet is thicker, yet they both have a luxurious sheen to them. To compete the look, I wore my trusty Adidas 'Superstar' sneakers and vintage MCM tambourine bag.

Dark Side of the Moon

T-shirt: thrifted (similar here) | Jeans: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Boots: Topshop | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Tattoo choker: H&M (sold out, similar here) | Lace choker: Forever 21 (sold out, similar here)

Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorite bands. I love their unique, edgy, and poetic sound. When I found this The Dark Side of the Moon T-shirt left behind in one of my school's residence halls during move out this past spring, I snatched it up. Not sure why someone would want to give away a piece this cool, but I'm happy to give it a new home. The previous owner cut out the neckline of the top which adds a super grungy vibe.

Since Pink Floyd is a one-of-a-kind band, I wanted to style the T-shirt in a fun and funky way. Vintage-inspired jeans from Brandy Melville, Topshop sock boots, and chokers up the eclectic, rocker aesthetic. A Daniel Wellington watch helps me keep "Time" (pun intended), and Rebecca Minkoff mini bag is perfect when I'm "On the Run" (pun also intended).

Crochet Crop

Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Levi's (thrifted, similar here) | Belt: ASOS |  Sandals: Sam Edelman | Necklace: Forever 21 | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Hot days call for cool crop tops. Lately the weather has been in the '90s, which means I've been turning to the '90s and '70s for fashion inspiration. This look is inspired by both grunge and hippie style. The crochet crop top, Levi's shorts, and western belt have a very '70s vibe, yet also nod to eclectic '90s fashion. My gothic choker looks like the necklaces worn in The Craft.

This edgy, boho outfit wouldn't be complete without a pair of simple sandals, watch, and Ray-Bans. MAC's 'Up The Amp' adds a kiss of color to my lips and brightens up the witchy, Woodstock look. I'm spellbound by summer.

Gingham

Top: Zara (sold out, similar here) | Shorts: Zara | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Choker: Forever 21 (sold out, similar here) | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Gingham is one of my favorite summer prints. The retro fabric has been worn by the likes of Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin, and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, all fashion icons in their own right. It's breathable, lightweight, and adds a mod twist to any summertime outfit. I fell in love with this gingham off-the-shoulder top I found at Zara. The sleeves' tie detailing had me swooning and the silhouette is the perfect blend of billowy and structured. I paired the girly gingham blouse with raw hem, light wash denim shorts, also from Zara, to balance out the look. I like how the pinstripe pockets peek out to add a bit of pattern play.

To complete the outfit, I chose a black mini bag, sandals, and accessories. Ray-Ban 'Clubmasters' and a pop of MAC's 'Up The Amp' on the lips are the finishing touch. It's all good with gingham.

Seas the Day

Bodysuit: Topshop | Skirt: Forever 21(sold out, similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas 'Stan Smith' | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Choker: Brandy MelvilleWatch: Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Newburyport, MA is one of my favorite towns to visit. It's fun to spend the day walking around, stoping by all the cute shops, and going out to eat at charming restaurants and cafes. The view down by the waterfront is incredible too. It's relaxing to sit and watch the boats with a gelato from Dolce Freddo in hand. If you live in the Boston area, Newburyport is well worth the trip.

For my day in Newburyport, I wore an outfit featuring all of my favorite summer trends: bodysuits, denim skirts, lace-up details, chokers, mini bags, and sneakers. I chose all black clothes and accessories, with the exception of the pop of light wash denim, to give the look a cohesive vibe. Dressing monochrome makes the trendy pieces seem more classic. This casual look captures my current style perfectly. Seize (or "seas" if you're seaside) the day, one outfit at a time.

Summer Stripes

Dress: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Denim jacket: thrifted (similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas 'Superstar' | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Choker: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

It's summer and I'm wearing stripes! This knit skater dress from Brandy Melville is one of my go-tos for hot days. Paired with an oversized denim jacket and white sneakers, it's an easy outfit that looks put together. Honestly, the denim jacket and dress combo is perfect for practically any occasion. I accessorized with staples of mine: a structured mini bag, Ray-Ban 'Clubmaster' sunglasses, Daniel Wellington watch, and black velvet choker. At this point, any outfit of mine is incomplete without them. Summer and stripes were made for each other.

Mad Maxi

Dress: Topshop (sold out, similar here) | Jacket: thrifted (similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas 'Stan Smith' | Bag: MCM (vintage, similar here) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Choker: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here

Maxis are one of my favorite dresses to wear in the summertime. They can be styled in many ways and worn on countless occasions. I bought this one from Topshop last year and have gotten so much wear out of it. Because it's black, (my color of choice), and a simple silhouette, it goes with anything, day or night.

I styled this maxi with a '90s grunge vibe. My thrifted denim jacket I've been decorating with pins and MCM tambourine bag add vintage elements. A black velvet choker, Ray-Bans, and 'Stan Smiths' keep the look edgy. My '90s look wouldn't be complete without dark, matte lipstick. I'm wearing MAC VIVA GLAM Ariana Grande. Be fierce like Furiosa and take on hot summer days in a rad, mad maxi dress.

'70s Flare

Blouse: Forever 21 (sold out, similar) | Jeans: H&M (sold out, similar) | Belt: ASOS | Bag: MCM (vintage, similar) | Shoes: Sam Edelman | Watch: Daniel Wellington

The '70s are one of my favorite decades for fashion. Flare jeans, bohemian blouses, and flowy dresses were wardrobe staples for many. The look I'm wearing here is inspired by the flower power era. It reminds me of an outfit the iconic Jane Birkin would put together. I haven't worn flare jeans since skinny jeans became the denim of choice. Now I'm wondering why I ever abandoned bell bottoms?

I'm making up for lost time with this raw hem pair from H&M. The light blue wash is so '70s and they have the right amount of fading. I belted the jeans for a vintage, boho feel and tucked in my favorite paisley print peasant top from Forever 21. Ankle boots keep the bell bottoms from dragging and my vintage MCM tasseled tambourine bag completes the hippie vibe. This look is as "far out" as the hems of my flares.

The Band Tee

Bomber Jacket: Topshop | T-shirt: thrifted (similar here) | Jeans: thrifted (similar here) | Sneakers: Adidas 'Stan Smith' | Belt: ASOS | Backpack: Brandy Melville (sold out, similar here) | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Daniel Wellington

The band tee is the quintessential casual-cool T-shirt. They can be worn with anything and look effortless. A lot of stores are selling band tees right now, as they embody music festival season and the summertime. My favorite band tees are the ones I find at thrift stores, like this one. I had been wanting a Ramones T-shirt and loved the color and design. The soft, lived-in feel adds to the look. It's slouchy and oversized, which is how I like them.

I styled my band tee with my favorite bomber jacket, a pair of thrifted mom-ish jeans (not really a mom jean, but very close), western belt, faux leather backpack, and Stan Smiths. To give the T-shirt a more fitted look, I tied it up in the back. Sunglasses and a watch complete the outfit. I'm with the band.
