Denim On Denim

Shirt: thrifted | Skirt: Topshop | Sneakers: Keds | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Fossil | Earrings: Topshop

Going retro again with some denim on denim. I instantly feel in love with this Esprit denim crop button down I found at Saver's. I knew it would look amazing with high waisted pieces. It's lightweight, comfortable and on-trend. Paired with my favorite Topshop denim skirt, it's perfect for hot summer days. I've seen shirts just like it at Brandy Melville that were $30. Why not pop some tags and find something that no one else will own? Unique is always chic.

All Black to the Max

Skirt: Forever 21 (similar / similar) | Top: Brandy Melville (similar) | Sandals: Sam EdelmanBelt: Nordstrom BP | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: Alex and Ani | Necklace: Tiffany & Co. | Earrings: Topshop

It's maxi skirt season which means I am taking maximum advantage of the summer heat by wearing this flowy, floor-grazing piece. I found this one at Forever 21 two years ago and it has been a favorite of mine. I love the sheer overlay, side slit and mini skirt-length slip underneath. Plus, it's black! This skirt is cool in more ways than one.

I went all black to the max with this outfit by pairing the skirt with a simple and soft Brandy Melville tee. A woven belt, flat sandals, my signature jewelry and Ray-Bans complete the look. If you have a maxi skirt just sitting in your closet, start wearing it! Don't let the summer months pass by. Take your style to the maximum level.

Bits of May

There was a bit of a delay on my "Bits of May," but that's okay! Last month went by so fast and was very busy. Here is a snapshot of what happened in my life.

1. I finished my freshman year of college!
It's hard to believe that I have already completed my first year of Emerson College in Boston. I got to know and explore a whole new city, meet great people, and study Marketing Communications. Many memories were made along the way. I learned a lot about myself and became much more independent. It was definitely a fabulous year. I'm a rising sophomore now which sounds crazy to me! Ahhh!

2. I became OBSESSED with vintage fashion.
As you can probably tell by the outfits I wore throughout the month of May, I have been into vintage inspired pieces. From the 70s to the 90s, I love all things that are #tbt. My Topshop denim button front skirt, H&M off-the-shoulder blouse, Brandy Melville knit crop tank, Ray-Bans and Keds are some of my favorite pieces at the moment.

3. I went thrifting...twice!
"Goodwill...poppin' tags!" Well, for me it was more like Savers but I digress. The clothing selection in my hometown's Savers is on point. I find the BEST treasures in this place. It's really something special. When you're home for the summer looking for things to do, thrifting is always a good idea...so I went twice.

Stay stylin'!

Lace Little Black Dress

Dress: H&M | Sandals: Sam Edelman | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelets: Alex and Ani | Necklace: Tiffany & Co. | Earrings: Tiffany & Co.

This lace little black dress (LLBD) from H&M has to be one of my favorite dresses of all time. I think the lace panel in the back is just so gorgeous. The lace detail around the neckline in front is beautiful as well. It was definitely a fantastic find. I styled it with Sam Edelman 'Gigi' sandals, Ray-Ban 'Clubmasters,' and my signature jewelry. Lace is trending this season. Could the LLBD  be the dress of the summer? It will certainly be my go-to.
