Denim Dreams

I've had this denim jacket for years and it continues to be one of my favorite pieces. One of my favorite things to do is mix old favorites with newer additions to my wardrobe. This all black ensemble needed a dash of denim, and my jacket delivered. I'm dreaming of denim this spring.

The "LBD" Look x DAILYLOOK

Coco Chanel revolutionized fashion with the creation of the little black dress. It's timeless, classic, and perfect for any occasion. Every girl needs this go-to hanging in her closet. Even if you already have one (or two or three), I believe you can never have too many. The "LBD" is one of those pieces you wear constantly, and having multiple styles to choose from is never a bad idea. So go ahead! Say "yes" to a little black dress!

You could say I'm little black dress obsessed. I love styling outfits featuring the wardrobe staple. When DAILYLOOK asked me to be a part of their LBD Spring Break Style Challenge, I was thrilled.     DAILYLOOK has so many LBDs to choose from but the one that really stood out to me is the RAGA x DAILYLOOK Lace Fit and Flare Dress. It's perfect for spring and summer and can easily be dressed up or down. I styled this versatile piece two ways: festival cool and fancy casual. Paired with espadrilles, a denim jacket, leather backpack and statement sunglasses, it's a look worthy of Coachella. If you're heading out for the night, wear the LBD with strappy wedges, a structured mini bag and jewel necklace. Whether you want to be festival cool or fancy casual, this LBD is the perfect fit for any occasion.

"Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking."

"Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." Meryl Streep's famous line from my favorite movie, The Devil Wears Prada, basically sums up this outfit. It was so warm out I couldn't help but pay homage to the film by wearing this floral skirt. I paired it with a breezy knit top, tights, and my new ankle boots that I am completely obsessed with. This outfit is perfect for a stroll through the park or scrutiny from Miranda Priestly.

Invested

This spring, it's time to invest. No, I'm not talking about buying stocks; I'm talking about buying a great vest. Fringe, denim, down, leather, take your pick! You can do no wrong. Not sure where to shop or how to style this sleeveless staple? I've got you covered.

The denim vest

You're never fully dressed without a denim vest! This one from H&M has a vintage vibe with distressed details and fraying. Wear it with anything from crop tops and high waisted shorts to a springtime sundress.

The lightweight down vest
For chilly spring days, a lightweight down vest is just what you need. This one from Uniqlo is great for transition dressing. Wear it with a thin knit sweater, jeans and sneakers for a cool, casual look.

The fringe vest
Fringe is in for spring 2015. Channel your inner Coachella goddess with a festival-esque vest like this one from Forever 21. Style it with your favorite sunnies, shorts, sandals, and vintage shirt and let the flower power flow.

The leather vest

Wear a leather vest with your little black dress. This one from H&M has a biker style and cap sleeves. It's a standout.

Get invested this spring.

Leather Weather

It's finally leather weather! Now that it is actually starting to feel like spring, I can break out my favorite pieces, like a classic (faux) leather jacket and leather loafers. I've also missed wearing skirts. It had been such a freezing and snowy winter, that I barely wore them. I paired one of my favorite neoprene American Apparel skirts with my beloved Brandy Melville mock neck striped top for a simple, spring outfit. What's interesting about this skirt is the zipper is supposed to be worn in front, which adds a unique detail. I sometimes wear it in the back if I want a different look. No matter which way I wear it, I love it just the same. Hooray for leather weather, and skirt season, too!
